Dylan Graber '19 Recruiting Profile

The reason I am the best recruit in terms of character, athletics, and academics can be summed up in one word. GRIT. Growing up in Southwest Kansas, with a bleeding passion for the sport of volleyball has never been easy. Student athletes in my area are often hindered by lack of opportunity to excel in their passion. I decided at a young age that it would not stop me. Currently, I travel sixteen hours round trip every weekend to competitively play the sport I love. I have always worked towards my goals, sought out challenges, and faced each day as a chance to not only learn, but grow. My ultimate goal is to thrive as a student athlete. As a student first, athlete second. I am seeking a school that will help me excel in all realms. My field of study still has yet to be decided upon. Being able to seek guidance pertaining to my field of study is crucial. A program with strong family orientated goals, I believe would suit me best. I recently read an article about the top collegiate male volleyball players from each state; not one male from Kansas was listed. I am ready to step on campus and change that.
