Personal Statement
As a young child I always set high expectations for myself, whether it be only missing one word on a spelling test or simply not falling off the monkey bars. Even now as a teenager I continue to push myself and set ever increasing standards for want out of myself and life.
When it comes to academics, I'm lucky to say that it comes fairly easy to me. But just because something is easy doesn't mean it is without effort. I'm very proud that I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA for all of my high school career, and I strive to graduate in the top of my class. After graduation I want to attend college for Dramatic/Performing Arts. Theatre has always been a big part of my life and has been a major influence on who I am today. Including my drive, ambition, focus -and most importantly- giving me the confidence to consider softball as an option for my future.
I have played softball for as long as I can remember. Little League was the highlight of my summer and REC ball always kept me in shape for my next sport season, but I never considered softball as something I could realistically pursue in college. Then I met my high school coaches, Robyn and Stacia. They showed me that not only do I have a talent for the outfield, but also the heart and determination to get me through even the toughest of rough patches. Stacia, as my outfield coach, helped me connect to the outfield and develop a relationship with the sport that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Overall Stacia and Robyn have opened my eyes to the world of softball, and everything the future has to offer. I want a program where I can be ambitious on the field, the classroom, and the stage. With my passion and determination, I feel I can be a valuable asset to your team!
