My name is Sean Spring, I’m a 5’10" Outside Hitter who played past season on Core 16s where I also was the team captain. I attend East Brunswick High School in New Jersey as a young senior graduating 2022. When starting to play the sport it was all for fun, but after a year of playing I fell in love with the game. I would love to be able to keep playing in college, preferably while attending an engineering program. I have about three years of playing experience. It all started as a freshman on my High School team, followed by the Penn State volleyball camp and a season on a club team. I have no intention to stop now. After a strong High School varsity volleyball season, I'm enjoying a volleyball packed summer and planning for a club team tryouts in September.
Volleyball is so much more than having a strong skill set. I keep my cool in close games and always put in my best effort, no matter what the score board says. While being team captain for my club team, I learned how important it is to bring and keep my teammates energy up. I don't know how tall I may grow, but keep working on my jumps to gain as much height as physically possible.
I’ve played different sports in the past, but I cannot imagine my life without volleyball.
