Ever since I was young volleyball has always been a part of my life. I remember as a child when my family would play in backyard tournaments at my uncle's house and any time they were off the court I'd pick up the ball and practice with my siblings. My parents always pushed me to be great no matter if it was in my athletic commitment or in my academics. This mindset really stuck with me to this day as I always try and be the best version of myself. My parents also come from Poland and taught me about the culture. I can speak, write, and read in polish and I also travel to Poland every summer. There I attended a volleyball camp which really improved my volleyball skills. Playing volleyball at a college level for me is a necessity. No other sports make me feel as comfortable as volleyball. Even though I played basketball and soccer, I decided to focus my attention on improving in volleyball. My siblings, who were also talented when it came to volleyball, pushed me to not make the same mistakes as they made and for me to play at the next level. It is important to me that I make not only my parents proud but my entire family and I will strive for this goal no matter what.
