Kasper Yanowitch '27 Recruiting Profile

As much as I like to win, I hate losing even more. I can accept loss, but more importantly I grow from the experience. I will do whatever I have to for my team in order to be victorious. When I am on the court, I give 120% for every single point, and when I am not on the court I am cheering my teammates from the bench. 

My main goal is to play Professional Volleyball, and to do that I know my next step is to play high level collegiate Volleyball. My first team experience was middle school on the 7th grade team, and then in 8th grade I earned a spot on JV volleyball team.

In addition to playing indoor volleyball with JV in Fall 2022, I also began club volleyball and played on the 14-1 squad for Sportime VBC. We ended our season this summer at the AAU Jr. Nationals Volleyball Championships in Orlando, FL playing the best teams in the US. It was a humbling experience that made me realize there's always room for improvement and that I will continue to grow as a player.

As a beach volleyball player with a focus on doubles training, I have found success in tournaments this past summer earning bids to Jr. Nationals (Hermosa Beach, CA), East Coast Championships (Clearwater, FL) and West Coast Championships (Huntington Beach, CA). Playing both indoor and beach volleyball makes me a versatile player, and I apply skills from both types of training to my game. Beach training helps improve my speed, strength, and agility, which in turn improves my indoor playing. 

Being a multi-travel sport athlete (volleyball, baseball, soccer) has given me experience with a variety of coaches, coaching styles, and teams. No matter the coach or sport, I have learned I am coachable, a team leader, a supportive teammate, and mentally tough when it comes to the game.
