Joseph Nicometo '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joe Nicometo.  I am currently a Junior at Orchard Park High School, in Orchard Park, New York.  Orchard Park is a suburb of Buffalo, NY.

To start with, I am very proud with the accomplishments of my high school team and my teammates.  Through our hard work, both in season and off season, Orchard Park High School won the Erie County Interscholastic Conference Class A title with a record of 11-1.  We won our Section VI Class A quarterfinal match vs Williamsville North and then moved on to defeat Lancaster in the semi-finals.  Unfortunately, we fell a few points short of our team goal, losing to Clarence in the Class A finals.

On a personal note, I am proud to say I was a First Team All-Western New York Selection (the top honor in our area).  I was also selected by my teammates as the team MVP.  I am really excited for our 2020 season next year, as we are returning 4 starters.

At the club level, I will be playing for Lockport 18U Black.  This team has some of the best players in Western New York and is coached by David Jack.  Coach Jack played for the Jamaican National Team and was 8 time US Open All American.   I am thrilled to have a man with such experience as a coach and am hoping to learn a lot from him.

From an academic standpoint, I am a Honor Roll Student and plan on pursing either Computer Science in college, or Physical Education.  I know I still have some time to decide on this.
