I began learning to play volleyball at the age of nine. Since that time I have worked to become the best player I can be. In addition to playing for my school and club, I take every opportunity I can for additional skills training. I also do weight training and cardio several times a week.
I am fortunate to attend a great school in New York. As a freshman, my course load included advanced honors math and three additional honors classes. I am also taking a first level engineering class that is dual credit with the Rochester Institute of Technology. Though engineering is an interest area, I also intend to explore business classes beginning my sophomore year. I hope to explore other activities and clubs at my high school after the pandemic is over.
In addition to keeping up my grades, my goal is to continue to grow and develop as a player. I have had the opportunity to work with strong coaches who have helped me build a strong knowledge of the game as well as technical skills. A strength I feel I have is to take a coaches instruction and translate it on the court. I plan to continue this growth and one day play at the college level. I am dedicated, team player who is willing to put the time in to be the best I can be.
