I've been playing sports since I was six. My parents are both coaches and have taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and a team-before-self mentality. Having grown up around volleyball, I've always had an interest. Unfortunately, there were very few opportunities for male athletes in my area. We did not have a high school boys' program until the Spring of 2023. Additionally, our area has only had a few volleyball clubs offering boy's teams. My sophomore year, I seized the opportunity to play at Ajax VBC in Beaverton, OR. I have played for NW Elite VBC's Boys 18-1 Gold National team for two seasons, including the current season, and also for the Clackamas High School (CHS) boys' varsity volleyball team. I am a starting outside hitter and team captain on both teams. My boys' CHS varsity team won the Oregon Boys Volleyball State Championships in 2023, our inaugural season. I have worked extremely hard to advance and improve my skills. As a 6'4" outside hitter, I love the game and am driven to achieve my personal best. I am a selfless team member and an encourager. I enjoy seeing others and myself succeed. I seek a college where competitive play, good sportsmanship, team camaraderie, and strong academics abound. I love to learn, am not afraid to ask questions, am curious, and take criticism well.
