Early in my athletic career, when my brother started playing volleyball, my parents and my brother’s teammates parents would always ask if I was going to play volleyball when I was old enough. I would always tell them that I would never do it. Volleyball was my brother’s sport. When I was 14, I gave volleyball a try and thought that it was really fun! I came by it naturally and knew that it was a sport that I could play for the rest of my life. Over my athletic career I have played high level club soccer, basketball and now volleyball. I have overcome many challenges such as being cut from 3 different top club teams, but I knew I couldn't give up. Being cut made me work harder. I put forth tons of effort and eventually made each of those teams. Coaches see in me a great attitude, a team first mentality, a hard work ethic and leadership. Based on these traits, I’ve been selected as captain in both soccer and volleyball. I am looking for a program that I can excel in my academics and athletics and I know that I could be the right fit for your team.
