Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball in 4th grade as part of my school team. I was shy and wanted to try something new. From that day forward volleyball has been a big part of who I am. I didn’t know the sport at all, made a lot of mistakes, but took that and constructive criticism to learn and constantly improve.
When I was 11, I went to a Club tryout not knowing anyone, and was fortunate to make a 12yo Boys Junior National Team. That experience helped me to break out of my shell and be a true team player, which eventually led me to being a teacher and leader. Any chance I have, I love to help players that are new to the game, as others did for me.
I am looking for a program to challenge me both academically as well as athletically that would allow me to grow to the position of a leader.
