What makes me a good candidate?

Well, to be honest in the volleyball world being tall is a key factor in a player. However, I am 5'9 and I want to change that stigma. I want to show others that with hard work and determination, I can get over any block and be able to jump higher than before. I strive to get better and better and never settle for where I’m at. I have this motive that goes like this, “The game isn’t over until the final ball touches the floor.” Whatever challenge I get from volleyball or school I know I can overcome it. I am willing to learn, grow, and be a leader on the court and off the court. What makes me different than others is no matter how many no's I get I will never settle low and always strive to go higher and higher. It hurts at times but it only fills me up with determination to get better and better. This makes me a good candidate for the team because I can influence others to not give up no matter what the outcome is and just keep playing as a team.
