Aiden Alcaraz '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Aiden Alcaraz, I’m a class of 2025 flat/utility player attending Carpinteria High School. My current goal after high school is to play at the collegiate water polo level. I would really like to play at the Division I level and help a team win a championship. Another goal outside of water polo would be becoming a GM of a professional sports team, mixing my passion of sports and math (stats) together to create my ultimate dream job. I excel at math, numbers, stats and after my undergraduate education see myself going on to get my MBA. I think the best part of my game includes my playmaking ability which is my ability to see the pool and all of the threats and opportunities steps ahead of my opponents. I am able to create opportunities for steals and bad passes on defense because I have a long wing span and consistent and smart playing style, allowing me to not be kicked out often. In my sophomore and junior year I have been the supporting role with many assists with good passing and ball control to create our offense. I am also the player who wings out coming down the pool to set up the attack. I often am needed to score from the flat or point position in key comments of the game as our star player is working in the set position and sometimes double covered. Next year as a senior, I will be the team captain and leader and will be expected to carry much of the scoring weight of our team. I am looking forward to the opportunity to lead and reach my full potential. What makes me different than most players is that I consider myself a selfless player who will always put what is best for the team ahead of personal goals and stats. I will always make the smarter play that will ensure the score, the win, the best outcome for the team. I’m also a great student taking all Honors classes and AP classes and have a 4.667 GPA.
