My name is Dane Grady. I have been playing water polo since I was 10, and swimming since I was 5. In high school, I have made the Varsity water polo and swim team since my freshman year. I have earned recognition as a Scholar Athlete maintaining my GPA at a 4.0. Our varsity water polo team won league champions in division III my freshman year, moving to D2 Sophomore year. As a Sophomore I was selected as 1st team all-conference. The following year, our team made division I and, as a junior, I was selected to 2nd team all-conference. Our team also won our first round of playoffs in our first year in division I. Despite being a junior, in our first D1 year, my water polo team elected me as a captain, furthermore, I was awarded Mustang Player of the Year by my high school coach, and was commended for my abilities and attitude, in and out of the water. Last year I received defensive player of the year by my high school coach. Most recently, I've been selected to represent my high school as only one of four student athletes at the annual North County Conference Student-Athlete Summit.
I'm undecided on my college major but am interested in business and religious studies.
