2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Pacome Brunel and I have been playing Water Polo since I was 11 years old. I've been playing club, then at Malibu High School and I have also remained on the same year round club team (South Coast) for 4 years.
I train every summer in France, in the Mediterranean Sea, for the Cercle des Nageur in Marseille with the France champion’s team. I got to see different approach and technics which made me stronger and game smart.
When I turned 16, I took on the additional, paid job of lifeguarding in order to watch the younger kids waterpolo training.
In high school, I’ve been a starter every year, we were League Champions last year and I was captain of the team this year.
I earned scholar athlete recognition for maintaining a minimum 3.5 gpa every year and honorable mention during 10th grade playing varsity, and MVP player my freshman year.
I was also awarded All league team, Tri County Athletic Association honorable mention last year and Second Team this year. I’ve received the coaches awards multiple times.
I believe in a strong work ethic and good sportsmanship both in the classroom and in the pool.
