I am a 14 year old Freshman at King High School in Riverside, California. I have been doing karate and Jiujitsu since 6th grade. I have taken 1st place in many tournaments including Jeff Speakman's World Cup Championship in Las Vegas. I began playing water polo in the summer of 2023. My love of the game was immediate. I quickly realized that the defensive techniques that I learned in Jiujitsu carried over to the pool. I was determined to learned the sport as quickly as I could. At each practice, I worked harder and challenged myself. This work ethic did not go unnoticed, it earned me the title of captain on the Junior Varsity team. At the end of the season, I also earned the title of Mr. Defense and was recognized as a scholar athlete because of my academics. My commitment to excellence in academics carries over to water polo. As my coaches will tell you, I am constantly striving to improve my water polo IQ by seeking guidance every opportunity I have. In terms of my collegiate goals and aspirations, I am driven by my desire to excel not only in my academics but also in the pool. I aspire to play water polo and become a physician assistant. Because of my strong leadership skills, positive attitude, and my ability to work collaboratively with others, I know that I am the kind of athlete that will be an asset to your team.
