Tzion Wong '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Tzion Wong. I am originally from Denville, New Jersey where I swam for the Greater Morristown YMCA club team for 5 years (Back stroker) and later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2020 during the middle of the COVID 19 pandemic.  In Las Vegas I continued my swimming with BCH (Boulder City Henderson) swim team and started to play waterpolo and also practiced with the Lake Mead Christian Academy basketball team (for 2 months).  However in December of 2021 I decided to move away from the swimming and basketball so that I could entirely devote my focus on Waterpolo (Team Vegas Waterpolo).  As of now I have been playing waterpolo for about 2 and a half years and I participated in the 2022 Junior Olympics Tournament in San Jose, CA in the 16 and under Platinum division with Team Vegas.  In fall 2022 I was selected to join the Mountain West regional ODP youth division team and will represent the Mountain West Region in the Super Regional National Tournament in Dallas, TX (January 13-15, 2023).  Currently, I am focusing on my growth both on the mental and physical aspect of the waterpolo game.  Team Vegas has team practice 5 days per week; conditioning (Mon/Wed)/Master's practice (Mon/Wed/Sat) and team practices twice per week (Tues/Thurs).  I also have been weight training for about two and a half years (since my sophomore year) and lift 4-5 days a week for my physical strength/condition.  I really enjoy playing the game of waterpolo and hope to expand and develop to compete at the collegiate level.
