A passion for swimming lead me to play water polo in the spring of my 8th grade year. I have developed a passion for the sport and continually strive to improve my water polo IQ. I have reached out and practiced with college and masters level teams in my off season to strengthen my skills. I have played for 3 seasons on the club team for New Albany Aquatics Club, and just finished my senior season as I helped move the team to our high school. In early November I will begin my senior season with our high school swim team. I have also played two seasons with Columbus Water Polo. Columbus is coached by Geoff Gear, high school coach at Saint Charles Prep School, a perennial powerhouse in water polo in Ohio and defending state champs. I have coached swimming for Special Olympics, and coached youth water polo under Coach Gear this coming summer. I want to continue to play in college and plan to pursue a degree in education or psychology, with a possible focus on special education.
