Personal Statement
I want to be able to pursue my interests in Finance/Economics/Accounting in college alongside playing Water Polo. These fields are especially interesting to me because they encompass all of what I enjoy and cater to some of my strong suits. I enjoy learning about people and studying cause and effect relationships dealing with people. And then, Math is definitely my strongest subject in school while also being the most enjoyable subjects. I would love to be able to further my knowledge in these fields complimented with being able to continue my Water Polo career.
Water Polo has become my passion ever since I started playing it in my Freshman year of high school (2019-2020). My love for the sport only strengthened when forced to take a break due to the world stopping pandemic, which split my career in half. When coming back to the sport in early 2021, it felt like all the previous progress I had made had just vanished, but I pushed through this adversity, and shown some serious dedication to the sport coming to practice almost every single day during my latter half of Sophomore year, the summer following my Sophomore year, and Junior year while attending the advanced Magnet program in a rigorous school, LASA. As a goalie, I hold a strong connection with my coaches and with my teammates, and act as the cornerstone of communication both during and outside games. I am unafraid to experiment and to fail, and I treat every practice as an opportunity to get better, while always being on the lookout on ways to improve my game and suggestions to improve the rest of the teams game.
