Fall 2011Personal Statement
Softball has been a huge part of my life since I was ten. My first ever at-bat I hit a homerun and from that point on I've never wanted anything more in my life than to pursue this sport with everything I can give. I consider myself a hard working athlete. I'm 5'5" and a 130lb. I'm the last to leave the diamond, work hard, and play hard. At the same time, I love to make my teammates smile and have fun doing something we all love, but keep focused on the prize. That is why we play. I'm looking to play college softball in the Division that I am most competitive in and would love to start as freshman, and feel I will contribute. Since I'm from Western Canada, location or size of school has little bearing on where I end up. I've been an Honors with Distinction student 5 years running and therefore education and post graduation career are very important, as long as it gives me the ability in parallel, to play the game I love, softball.

- 2012 Calgary Kaizen (Midget A U18)
- We are a Midget A U18 travel club team out of Calgary, Alberta Canada. Season starts around April and ends mid August.
- 2011 Calgary Kaizen (Bantam A U16)
- Through out the year we attended tournaments in various locations. In Great Falls Mt where we won Gold in U16 A girls at the Electric City Heat Tournament, Pasco WA for the Early Bird Ice Breaker Tournament and finished at 5-1, Missoula MT, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan CA where we won Gold in U16 A in the Raiders Tournament, Canada Cup in Surrey British Columbia CA. We finished in 2nd Place at the Alberta Provincial Champions granting us attendance to Canadian Nationals in Winnipeg Manitoba CA. I also made Team Alberta's Girls Softball team that attended the 2011 Canadian Summer Games in which we won Bronze.
- 2010 Calgary Rockies AB (Bantam A U16)
- This was a 94/95 split team, we won gold at a Great Falls Tournament, as well as Gold again at a U16 A tournament in Kelowna BC. We also attended tournaments in Pasco WA, Missoula MT, a Midget A tournament in Kelowna BC again and Canada Cup in Surrey BC. We also were Gold Medalists at the Calgary Women's Fastball Leagues tournament. My team was Provincial U16 A Champions, and competed in Canadian Nationals in Victoria BC where we finished 6th.

- Selected to play for the North American Prospects girls softball team representing the U.S playing in the Italian tournament in Rome and Arezzo, Italy this upcoming summer.

- I played first base and outfield for Team Alberta during the WCSG and batted .400, driving in the most runs for our team. We finished 3rd place overall in the tournament.
