My name is Hayley Cowan, I reside in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.  I will be graduating grade 12 in 2025. I train all winter with Athletics Elite Softball Academy and currently play with the U19A Selects, a Travel/Club team out of Lacombe, Alberta.  Last year, I hit 2nd in the line up all season and successfully did my job the majority of the time. This year on my travel team I hope to hit in the #2 spot again but will do the job I am asked to do. I am a middle infielder preferably on Short Stop but will play other positions including outfield if it means I am in the game!

My love for school & eagerness to learn is evident with my current GPA of 4.21. Learning is very important to me as I would like to pursue a post secondary education!

My knowledge of the game and softball IQ has been developed over many years.  I have been fortunate to have played for, and trained with, Coaches that continue to push me out of my comfort zone to help me grow as an athlete and person. My ability to anticipate plays and always think ahead and quickly allows me to be the best player I can be.

Softball has taught me many life lessons - for instance how to be a great teammate, how to handle failures & celebrate success humbly as well as prioritizing putting in the time to reach my goals both athletically and academically.  These lessons will continue to help shape the person I will become when I enter the workforce after my education is complete.

I am so excited to continue my softball career and look forward to being a part of a team that has a winning culture!
