Amaya Dasti '19 Recruiting Profile

Welcome!  My name is Amaya Dasti, I just wrapped up my Junior year (3rd year on Varsity) and accomplished some big things.  

• Lead my 4A conference in doubles (20 doubles)
• Tied for 4th in the state in doubles
• Recognized by my coach for having a Golden Cannon AND with the ESPN hi light play of the year.  I was playing Left outfield, and threw out runner from third at home.  What an awesome feeling!
• Region First Team
• 4A All Conference second team (Az max preps)

My favorite positions are Outfield & Pitching.  However I am very comfortable and skilled playing 3rd base, Catching or any other position you need covered.  

I'm finishing up my Junior year at Casa Grande Union High School.  Right now my focus is getting the best grades possible.  I work very hard in the classroom, and equally on the field.  I pride myself in being someone my teachers, family, teammates and coach can count on.  I am the friend and player who will come through when you are in a bind or need that next RBI.

When I am on the field I feel at home and let loose, it's my comfort zone.  You may see me dancing all alone or trying to involve others when ever there is a break.  I think I play better when I'm just having fun, and trusting in my skills.  

As a student-athlete I am always ready to listen, and accept feedback, from a teacher, coach, teammate or adviser.  When I show up, I show up with a smile, a positive attitude and I bring momentum in everything I do; and I'm always be ready to go, ready to learn and ready to grow. 

Going into college I want to study to be a Registered Pediatric Nurse.  In high school I have taken two years of Child Care and that has very much influenced my career choice. I love working with kids and being able to help them grow into the little person they want to be.
