Personal Statement

I am currently a Senior at Paradise Honors High School in Surprise,  Arizona and I will graduate in the class of 2024.  I currently play club ball for USA Athletics Fockler 18U.  I started playing softball at the age of 9 with my first club team.  Softball brought me a different kind of joy than any other sport I tried.  Softball teaches you so much more than just the game itself.  It teaches you how to always give your all, even if things are not going the way you would like it to. It teaches you lifelong skills that we do not even realize most of the time. One of these skills would be getting to work with other individuals. The excitement you get to share with your team  is an unbeatable feeling. Getting to win and celebrate as a team, rather than individually just makes everything that much better. One thing softball teaches you that is so valuable is how to be an all around better person. That is just one thing I love about softball. You continue to learn something new everyday from the game and that makes me love it that much more each day.

While I am very passionate about the game of softball my academics are also something that is really important to me. As of right now I am undecided for what I would like to do in my future. I believe that as long as the college has great programs and has softball, then it is a quality option. I am also just looking for a campus that can fit me and make me feel comfortable there. In academics, I currently have a 4.0 unweighted GPA. In all my classes I work very hard to achieve good grades. I work hard to learn day in and day out to prepare myself for my future. My education is a key part of my life and something that is important to me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
