Personal Statement

My primary positions are left-handed pitcher and 1st Base. My pitching strengths are my spins, and movement, resulting in weak hits.  I am working with my pitching and travel coach, a former D-1 pitcher, to continue to develop my skills to evaluate batters and make in-game adjustments depending on variables such as the situation, the batter's place in the lineup and the batter's stance.  Each at-bat is a mini-game within itself.

I am a senior (class of 2019) at Willow Canyon High School in Surprise, Arizona, where I have a 4.2 weighted GPA.

During my high school career, I have been on the Junior Varsity team my Freshman and Sophomore year. Unfortunately, my Junior year I was injured and unable to play. During that time, I was able to reflect on how much I loved and missed the game of softball and see the game from a entirely different perspective. This year, I plan on finishing my high school career strong on Varsity.  My first two years of playing softball at Willow Canyon High School, I received the MVP award.

My intended major is currently undecided, but I have an interest in the medical field.   My high school has prepared me well in this field. I am in the Laboratory Assisting program at my school for my second year now. This year I am perfecting my venipuncture technique by drawing blood from those willing to help me during my class period and working towards passing the National Exam. By learning medical terminology, how the body works and how to act as a medical professional, this will all lead to me to be successful and to pass the exam, leaving high school with my Phlebotomy certification.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
