Hello,
My name is Alyssa Morales. I’m a 2025 uncommitted CF, SS and 2B.
I began my softball journey at age 5, taking an extreme liking to the sport of softball. I played in numerous leagues, for numerous coaches and was fortunate to have my mother sign me up for many private lessons with specialized coaches past players. This helped me tremendously in creating skills for what I believe has made me all-around versatile player. Covid definitely hindered many of us for a period of time. Despite the small break in softball during that period, I was able to practice and keep my skills sharpened. The mental break did bring stronger clarity to my life and goals in wanting to be a collegiate softball athlete and continue my education for a future in physical therapy.
As mentioned, my diverse experience in playing with, and for multiple teams as well as having taken private lessons has molded me to what I believe will be an asset to any team. My strength and speed on the defensive end of the game has allowed coaches to successfully utilize me in the infield or outfield. My consistent offensive game has brought me to be noticed by other coaches and teams.
I have always prided myself on staying in good shape and as a result, have been commended on my speed. I know this to be important for the success for any team as it allows for great base running and covering large areas of the field on defense. This is turn has proven helpful with the success I’ve had on many teams. I understand being a successful team also involves being a good teammate and encouraging others. I take pride in my positive attitude, relationships I’ve have with teammates and coaches on every team I’ve played as well as helping others grow and get better at the game. I will continue to work on and seek ways to improve and would be honored to have the opportunity to play at the college level.
I received a 3.8 GPA and was awarded 2nd Team all League for the Pacific League Division this past year.
