Paige McLeod '23 Recruiting Profile

Playing softball at the collegiate level has been a dream of mine since I started playing in Colorado when I was in the 2nd grade. Throughout the years, my passion for the game has only grown. I am a very strong student and have maintained a 3.95 GPA throughout my high school years. I am also an extremely determined athlete and am motivated to be the best athlete I can be to support my team. I am a right-handed pitcher, 1st baseman, and hitter from Danville, California. I play for the West Bay Warriors out of San Mateo, CA. I was recently fortunate enough to play a role on the team that won the 2021 16U Tier 1 Alliance Nationals in OKC. The competitive environment of Nationals was an addictive thrill. This has sparked a deeper fire in me to push myself to command this level of competition.

This brings me to a quote that my dad introduced me to. "There may be people more talented than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you." - Derek Jeter. This quote really speaks to me.  It drives me to push myself to be better even when no one is watching. The feeling I get when I put on my uniform to step onto the field to represent my team is indescribable. I love nothing more than to spend all my time playing softball, however, when I am not playing, I also love spending time with friends and family, all while listening to music. I hope to continue playing the game for a long time.
