Katelyn Kilgore '23 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to be the best I can be. The best student, the best daughter, the best player, the best teammate, the best friend and most importantly the best me. In life I have always been someone who gets called a try-hard in school and just in everything, but not softball. A coach once told me “Try-hards lose and composure wins” and ever since that has stuck by my side. Even after all my surgeries and recoveries I thought to myself have composure. I don’t have it easy like some people i’ve always had to work harder than most. I was at my very top when I had to go in for major reconstructive surgery, but I got right back up and i’m still climbing even higher than I was before. I think what sets me apart is my composure. Not just in softball but in school and even just my personality.
