Being on varsity since my freshman year not only has shaped who I am but defined who I am. Competing with juniors and seniors my freshman year was a big transition , I learned determination, leadership, and quick learner. I was determined to be able to show people why I belong on a varsity team, I learned leadership along the way to help others that needed to adjust their swing or outfield skills and last I leanered to be a quick learner because everyone else has on the team has been coached by our coach for sometime now and I needed to adjust really quick of his coaching style. At the age of four I became interested with softball, in the first grade I tried out for a tee-ball team and every since then I knew I wanted to keep playing. I enjoyed the competition, the teamwork, and skills being developed along the way. Through my sport I learned to be patient, I would work weeks and weeks to become better and I thought I saw no result but during game time that’s when it showed. It taught me that it takes awhile for something to become great. My academic goals in highschool are to be involved with all sorts of clubs, sports and the community as much as I can. In college my goal is to be an anesthesiologist, I have always been fond of the sciences especially the medical field. The obstacles I had to overcome to be where I am today is at the age of 2 I was diagnosed with ADHD I had trouble focusing, my brain would constantly be thinking of everything at once, they tried to get me to do ballet or soccer. My true remedy was being of the softball field, no matter what it took I wanted to be practicing and playing. A unique skill or characteristic I posses is my work ethic, an athlete shouldn’t need to be told to practice, work out or get my grades up. It’s a self taught thing I posses, when I know I could improve my batting swing you will find me in the batting cage all day or on the field taking flying balls if I need to improve on them or in the library if I know my grades need to be better.
