Personal Statement

As a daughter of amazing, supporting parents they have influenced me the most in becoming who I am today as a person, athelete, and scholar.  My first sport was TaeKwonDo which instilled honor, respect, dedication, confidence and hard work will prevail.  I accomplished a personal goal of getting my second degree Blackbelt at the age of 8 after 4 years of training.  I then completed 2 years of Brailizian Jiu JitSu and Judo training finishing at a yellow belt ranking.  My sister started playing softball and that is where my interest in game started.

My passion, drive and dedication to learn all about the game then started during my first season in recreational softball.  My father started teaching me the mechanics and stratigies that created my foundation and knowledge of the game.  My hard work paided off by being accepted onto a Division 1 High School Freshman team.  I have learned that throughout this game that there will be many failures that I will have to overcome.  I know that each failure will teach me how to be successful the next time I am challenged.  One of the biggest goals of my high school academic career is to continue to have 4.0 or higher on my accumulative GPA.  This will allow me to continue in the right direction for success and for the life I have invisioned for me.

During my freshmen year of high school we won our league's championship game and that win motivated me to want to play more.  Softball has taught me about how important teamwork and leadership skills are in making me a better player and person.  To be able to experiance such leadership on a team influenced me to become one as well.  As a player I have grown to realize that softball is much more than just a game.  It has taught me so much more than I could have imagined that I can now reinforce those skills in everyday life.  Throughout my high school and travel-ball career I have aways pushed myself to the limits in order to find success.  It's a dream of mine to play at the collegiate level for a competitive University while I achieve my goal of becoming a Veterinarian.
