Now, that I've successfully completed by Sophomore year at Notre Dame High School I understand what my coach, Bill Jaquish, meant by "time spent" vs "time invested." My ability to manage time was tested during the first semester when I had to miss classes to attend Fall showcases. I had to turn in classwork and study for exams, and be completely focused during the showcases. But I managed, and the second semester I got better at managing and prioritizing my time. I feel I'm ready to take on more challenges in regards to academics and softball. I will continue with pitching and batting lessons this summer, and will be working out to get stronger. I will also be taking SAT/ACT preparation classes this summer to get ready for my first test next year.
My goal after graduating from high school is to continue to play softball in college while studying kinesiology or sports medicine. My goal after college is to further my education in graduate school.
