Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Teagan Moreno and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am a 2024 grad from Riverside, California, and like every other girl trying to get recruited, I have been playing softball for most of my life. In my younger days I tried playing other sports but softball ended up being the sport that I really excelled at. I am a student first and athlete second. My current accumulative GPA is a 3.8. In college, my ultimate dream would be to earn a degree in Animal Science or Zoology, buy a farm and have a career caring for animals. My back-up plan would be to study Exercise Science, become physical trainer or therapist, and develop health and wellness programs for young athletes.
I believe that I would make a great asset to any college softball program because I am a coachable athlete and a dependable teammate. I am committed to working hard on my own fundamentals and development in order to help my team succeed. I want to compete for championships every year.
Softball has taught me many life lessons, such as the true meaning of commitment, the importance of having good time management skills, and how to handle adversity. I truly believe that having such a rigorous course schedule in high school and playing competitive softball has laid the groundwork for me to be a successful student-athlete at the collegiate level.
