My name is Allison Torstensen and I’m a junior in high school at Port of LA HS (Polah). I play for Nemisis Elite 18U Gold. At age two, I first threw a softball with my dad and I haven’t stopped since. Softball is a part of me, a part of my identity; it’s a way of life for me.
Growth is very important to me both on and off the field. I want to be a lifelong learner so I work hard at my game and my academics. I am up most mornings hitting buckets of balls into my Bownet. I’ve also been on the Honor Roll/Dean’s List since I entered HS.
I’m not perfect… but I will tell you that I am a team player; I am a loud cheerleader in the dugout; I am relentless at working hard to develop my skills; I listen respectively to my coaches and make corrections the best I can. It’s important to me to have integrity as a player, as a teammate and as a student. You’ll find my determination and endurance is one of my best qualities, along with my sense of humor and game readiness. If you’re looking for a player who is willing to “dig deep” and go beyond what is expected then choose me. I want to make a difference; I’m not afraid of sacrificing what it takes to make sure my team achieves greatness.
