I am a high school freshman who has been playing softball for ten years. In addition to my current team obligations, I am committed to private lessons twice a week and home conditioning. I also have attended elite softball camps over the last year where I have continued to learn so much and am resolute in my desire to be on a similar field one day as a collegiate softball athlete. From an education perspective, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout middle school and currently have all A's in my classes so far this semester. I am also in an Early College Program through my local community college. With this opportunity, I am able to take high school and college classes concurrently and will graduate with an associate degree by the time I finish high school. While this academic load will be rigorous, I plan to continue to successfully balance my educational workload and my softball obligations so that I can be prepared even more for any future challenges of balancing college athletics and academics after high school.
Ironically, I decided I wanted to be a veterinarian around the same time I started playing softball. Many years have passed and my passion for softball and becoming a veterinarian has remained steadfast. I want to attend a college where I can be challenged academically and reach my career goals while also playing softball at highest level possible.
