I have always been playing a "softball" like sport. I was first introduced to sports when I was put into T-ball for the recreation center. I don't remember much of it but that wasn't what really sparked my softball career. A family friend of mine had actually asked me to play baseball for him. It was a really create experience, I was the only girl, but all my teammates didn't treat me like a "girl" I was on their teammate, unfortunately I was only able to play baseball for one year before I was introduced to softball. I had really found a passion for softball, until I was in 6th grade when I didn't make the softball team. This, however, didn't stop me from working harder and improving my skills to later on making the softball team in 7th grade. When I arrived at high school, I was quite shocked that I had been given a varsity starter position and softball. I am now in 11th grade and my younger teammates really look up to me and see me as a leader who they can trust and ask questions about the game.
