I strive for positivity when I am on and off the field. I try to lift my teammates when they are down and give my 110% effort towards anything I do. I'm not scared to make mistakes because you can always learn from them. My personal goal is never to give up. Growing up, I always fell behind the other kids in my class in academics. I always had to work twice as hard as everyone else to understand the material. I wondered for years why I couldn't keep up as well as everyone else. Just recently, I was tested for dyslexia and found that's why I was falling behind. All my teachers were surprised that I figured out how to keep my grades high and play sports with such a setback. Dyslexia taught me to problem-solve and never be afraid to ask questions. This is what makes me different from other candidates. Not that I have dyslexia, but I always try to find a way to make things work. Even if it seems impossible, I never give up. Many say you're in it for yourself, but in sports and group projects, you must trust one another to succeed.
