Personal Statement
It is my desire to earn my Bachelor's Degree, play collegiate softball and be the absolute best athlete God created me to be. I would then like to attend Vet School and become a large animal Veterinarian. Growing up on our family cattle ranch, I have learned the value of hard work. We produce beef cattle, hay, have a Registered Angus cattle operation and grow ~200 acres of watermelons. Every day I work alongside my family to ensure these operations are top notch and productive. Hours are long and work days are hot, but that has shaped me into the hard-working athlete I am today. Having played Varsity sports since the 6th grade and Travel Softball (Gainesville Gold) since 8U, I have also learned what it takes to be a vital and productive part of a team. Long hours of practice, both with my team and on my own have allowed me to develop my skills and maintain a high level of intensity. Playing three Varsity sports and maintaining an Honors status academically has also taught me the value of time management. As a team captain, I strive to encourage my teammates to always give 100% and make decisions based on what is best for our team as a whole. I am honest, humble, out-going and sincere. I feel the above qualities and experience are what set me apart from my peers.
