My name is Octavia Lewis-Rand. I am a 5'4 outfielder/shortstop/2B player from Columbus,Georgia and will graduate in 2012. I have played Varsity since my freshman year with the Columbus High School BlueDevil Softball Team. Each year I have gained accomplishments in softball. One of my greatest accomplishments was being a team player in winning the 2009 AAA State Softball Championship, and being chosen for the 2010 and 2011 All Bi-City 1st Team, setting a record with the most hits in a single season, and chosen to participate in the Georgia Senior All-Star Team. I exhibit sportsmanship and I am a team player. I am one of the players that you will see first out on the field giving 110%. I am also well known for my speed and ability to steal bases.
I would like to attend a university/colleg with an outstanding academic reputation, as well as a competitive softball program. I am interested in schools of various sizes and divisions. Not only am I an outstanding athhlete, but I am also an outstanding student who attends a College Preparatory Magnet Academy High School, ranked in the top 5 of the State of Georgia. I hope to pursue a degree in Biology, for my future interest is in the field of medicine.
My desire at any school is to make an impact on a team by bringing my gifts and talents. My strong desire to be a team player and to give my all will be an outstanding attribute to any softball program.
