Hello coaches! My name is Aiko Yoshizumi. I am currently an incoming senior at James B. Castle High School located in Kaneohe, Hawaii. I am a student athlete from the graduating class of 2025. The two positions I play are catcher and 1st baseman.
I started softball at the age of 10 years old for the 12u Lady Knights. I currently play and travel for the 18u Cobras Softball Hawaii. My goal is to play in the collegiate level. In the process, I am always looking forward to learning new skills and techniques.
What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I am a team player, coachable, encouraging, supportive, hard working, and dedicated. I make sure to cheer on my teammates and pick them up when they’re not having the best day. I also make time to work on my skills at home whether it be hitting off the tee or practice picking skills off the wall.
Not only is softball important to me but my education as well. In my senior year I plan on taking classes that will help me earn my Academic Honors Certificate. After High School I plan on earning my major in Biology. I then want to enter medical school. From there I will pursue my career as a surgical oncologist.
