Personal Statement

Thank you for viewing my profile and potentially considering me for your program.

From an early age, I juggled competitive ski racing, competitive golf, and softball, but I’ve always had a deeper connection to softball. My dad played baseball in college, and we have bonded over the sport (I wear his jersey number).

When I was 12, I was given the opportunity to pitch, but I had to work hard to catch up with girls who had been doing it for much longer. I used the extra time during the pandemic as an opportunity to improve. We built a softball cage in our garage, and I spent many hours working on the things that my pitching coach taught me. I currently play club for Firecrackers ID-Mogel18U (A), a national program, where I pitch and play outfield.

In addition to softball, what’s equally important to me is academics. I currently have a 4.2 weighted GPA (class rank 14 of 436). I also have a full plate outside of school, including mock trial (#4 in state) and a late-summer 2023 internship at the DACOR-Bacon House -- an organization focused on international relations, which is what I hope to study in college.

Thank you.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
