I am excited to start the process of looking forward to a future of where I can continue my education represent my school through softball. I currently am a Freshman at Rigby High School in SE Idaho. I have made our JV Softball team where I am the starting catcher. I also play Center field and First base, but catching is my passion. When I am not playing on our school's team I play travel ball with the club East Idaho Force. I also pick up for multiple teams from different cities to keep me well rounded on how I can improve in a different environment and how I handle different coaching styles. I pride myself on being coachable and a good teammate. When I am not playing, I volunteer coach girls in the 8-12u age levels for my parents' local non-profit softball league. I love to give back and offer lessons, coaching, and sharing my experiences with these younger girls.
In addition to softball, I love all animals and hope to have a career as a veterinarian someday. Animals give us so much joy and are a huge part of family's everyday lives so helping keep animals as healthy as possible to give them the longest life they can is the career path I am on. I also love music and to sing. This has led me to take years of women's choir, as it is a great way to help reset my mind and relax.
I have an outgoing personality which helps me to be a natural leader on and off the field. My parents have taught me the importance of confidence, resilience, and persistence. These key traits keep me grounded and determined. Being a born lefty (left handedness runs in the women in my family) I have had to fight to prove my worth behind the plate time and time again, and I will keep doing so as I continue to break down barriers for myself and others to follow.
I look forward to representing a college someday and hope you are just as excited.
