Personal Statement
Over the years, my family has had an influence on who I am today. Growing up they’ve always taught me to be respectful, determined, and caring towards others. To know how to act this way towards everyone will allow me to succeed in life and to form many strong relationships along the way. Another thing that has had an influence in my life is not making a travel team the first year I tried out. After that year of practicing every day, I finally made it on a travel team.Through this experience, I have learned that if you set your mind to something, that you can achieve it. This is only one of my many accomplishments that motivate me more to wanting to continue succeeding and making accomplishments. Through softball, I have learned that I am tough and that I’m always there for someone who needs it. My academic goals for high school is to take at least one honors/Ap class per year and to have above a 3.5 GPA for all 4 years. In college, I hope to keep up that 3.5 GPA and get my degree in 4 years so I can start my career. I am looking for a school that offers medical degrees while allowing me to play softball. Some unique characteristics that I have are that I am a perfectionist, open to trying new things, caring, don’t let things bother me, and I’m humble. These traits allow me to help pitchers when they have a problem. Since I used to pitch, it comes naturally to me to notice their mistakes and to help them fix it. As a catcher, I rarely miss a block, as I understand the importance to be a wall behind the plate supporting my team and my pitcher.
