Pennelope Ruiz '21 Recruiting Profile

  My preferred name is Penny. I started out at 4 years old playing tee-ball and fell in love with softball from there. I played rec ball then joined a travel team. I currently play for the Chicago Cheetahs 16u.  I played softball with my junior high and currently with my high school. I played volleyball, basketball, and also track and field in junior high. I play volleyball along with softball in high school. I help with a local food pantry when my sports are not interfering.  I also did community service this past year at a park district haunted house. I was a leader at the school district Snowball event this past Fall. This event involves students from the three high schools in the district. I will be involved with Relay for Life this coming Spring.
