Fall 2013 Skills ...Personal Statement
“Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.” That’s a quote that I keep on my computer as a reminder to myself when something becomes tiring or difficult. In my life, I want to be able to stay disciplined so that I can propel myself to whatever goal or aspiration I have. Two of my goals are to play college softball and become a physical therapist. As for the first goal, I think that playing on a college softball team would be rewarding in that I would be part of tight-knit family of players who are all working towards one common goal. As for the second goal, I think that being able to attend to the physical needs of others and help improve an aspect of their life would be fulfilling as a physical therapist. Throughout whatever college and work experience I have, though, I want to be sure to keep my family and faith at the top of my priorities.
