Travel Head Coach Lance Temple comments regarding me:
Coral’s athletic is ability is definitely above average. There isn’t many balls she can’t get to. Straight line speed is good and she is very fast around the bases. Her side-to-side speed at 2B is also above average. I have also seen her track many fly balls to the outfield that a lot of 2B wouldn’t get. She is the type of defensive player that I hope the ball goes to because I know she will not just make the play, but make the smartest play. Coral’s personality is what I love most about her. She almost always has a smile on her face. She gets along great with her teammates and coaches. She is always paying attention whether it is practice or a game. Those are the types of things that make her a great leader. She is an extremely fast learner. She takes constructive criticism very well and learns from it. Her personality alone is worth having her on the team. I wouldn’t trade Coral for Jenny Finch and if you give her a chance to be on your team you will end up thinking the same thing.
High School Head Coach Beth Peters comments regarding me:
Coral is dedicated to becoming more and more athletic as her high school year has progressed. She enjoys working out and pushing herself in her athletic ability. She is a multi-sport, multi-activity athlete, therefore, she works many muscle groups. She plays a solid second base with above-average range, and with throwing capability to make the routine plays a second baseman should make. She does a good job pushing off when a ball is hit and is not afraid to get dirty and dive for balls. Coral will usually be found smiling. She can pick up her teammates with her smile, and she has a knack for seeing when a player is getting down on themselves. When she does notice this, she goes over and helps pick them up. She shows up for almost everything in the off season, and she works to get better at each off season open field, open gym or conditioning. Coral is fun to coach!
Travel Asst Coach Jeff Ebersole comments regarding me:
Coral makes the most of her abilities by hustling and strong determination. She has a great work ethic with above average athletic ability. Coral does a good job reading the ball off of the bat and knowing where to go with the play. Coral is a very coachable player. She responds well to instructions and strives to be the best she can be. Coral is a great young lady and a team player.
Travel team player Brooke Ebersole comments regarding me:
Coral is an absolute team player. She's in it for her team, not individually. She doesn't give up and continues to keep a positive attitude no matter what the score is or if we have a rough inning. Coral would be a great addition for a team if you are in search of a player to help keep a positive impact and works hard on and off the field.
Travel team player Beka Badders comments regarding me:
Coral Hakey has had the biggest impact on me and my softball career. She’s always supporting me on and off the field. You can count on her to work the hardest and to help others when they’re struggling. She’s a self-motivating and terrific team mate!
