Personal Statement
I want to study in pediatrics. I want to be able to do the best I can with what I have. Every opportunity I get, with be taken. I’ve played softball since I was four years old and I can honestly say it’s my escape. I never thought I would enjoy something so much and still want to work harder at it. Softball has brought so many amazing people into my life and taught me so many things. Last year, I was on JV, as a freshman. I got a concussion towards the end of the season, right after the varsity coach told me I was being brought up for sectionals. I do not cry very often, so I don’t know if it was the concussion or what, but I cried when I had to tell her I wasn’t cleared to play. I’ve always known I loved softball, but last year made me realize that I never want to lose it. Academically last year I wasn’t trying. I will admit my grades weren’t that good. This year, I changed my attitude around completely because I realized that I need to put 100% effort into everything I do and not just things I’m interested in. I want to succeed and I want to graduate, I hope to play college softball as well. Thank you for reading this. I know it was long, but I hope it was worth it.
