Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Taryn Poole and I have so much love and passion for softball. I would really love to play at a collegiate level.  I have played High school softball for three years as a varsity starter at first or pitcher. I have played softball at a recreational level from 4-12 years old and have played travel ball since I was 11. I currently Pitch and play first for my travel team. Most of our games are held in the KC Metro area. I enjoy helping my team to victories and setting a great example for our younger players. I helped coach an 8u rec team in my hometown this past summer and gave some pitching lessons to other ages. I plan to help again this summer.

  • Taryn Poole is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B from Mound City, who attends Jayhawk-Linn High School. Taryn is an athlete that can play multiple positions for her team. She has the ability to pitch, but also has the ability to play the corners as well making her a very versatile athlete for her team. In our Kansas City Combine this past October she showcased as a pitcher and did a great job hitting her spots to both east and west on the plate. As she continues to work on leg drive she will see her speed increase with her pitches, but has the command to be able to handle herself on the mound. Defensively she does a good job reading the ball well off the bat and has a strong over hand throw. Offensively, she is a strong hitter to her pull side when she is on time to the ball. When she is on time she does a great job taking her barrelhead through extension and got some great ball flight to her pull side of the field. Taryn is a strong athlete that is able to play multiple positions for her team. I am excited to see where this game takes her in her future.
