Kaitlyn Fanning '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kaitlyn Fanning and I'm a 5'4" hardworking softball player. I'm truly dedicated to this sport. I'm an athlete who knows the game of softball. My most important accomplishments were being nominated for the first team, in-field tri-county my freshman year, first team, in-field tri-county my sophomore year and first team in-field tri-county and second team pitcher tri-county my junior year. I have been a varsity starter for my high school softball team since my freshmen year at Osawatomie High School (KS). I was unable to have my senior season due to COVID. 

I was a co-captain for my high school softball team during my sophomore year, which has prepared me for being the captain my junior year as well. What I can offer to a team is a promise to always work hard, never give up and keep a positive attitude. 

When it comes to choosing which school I would like to go to, my options are very big. I am very open-minded about a college and hope to just find a college that fits me best. I hope to find a smaller school where I can receive a good education and play softball. I am working towards a degree in Mathematics with a Minor in Education.   

My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competitive level.  Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to younger girls with a goal like mine. Knowing at the end of the day that I gave it my all and never quit, will push me to be the best that I can be.
