I LOVE softball and have been playing the sport for half my life. I have always wanted to play softball in college and could not Imagine myself not playing in this sport I love so much. I want to go to college where I can play and share my passion for the game. Something that would make me a great asset to your team is my drive, determination and passion for this sport. I am also a committed team team player. My team members, coaches and staff are like family, we all look out for each other and support each other.
I am committed to doing my personal best on and off the field. I plan to be a positive influence on the team as I continue to grow both physically and mentally throughout my college softball career. I have been on the varsity softball team since my freshman year and received the Softball Rookie of the Year award in 2014, Softball All District 2nd Team in 2015, Softball All District 10-2A Catcher in 2016 and the Softball Coaches Award in 2016. During my softball career I have played several positions but being a catcher is my passion.
I have also played travel softball during the summers since my freshman year to continue to get more experience and grow as a person and player. While all of my friends are off enjoying their summers at the beach and other places I play softball in the hottest of temperatures where the dirt is caked on your skin but you still have the biggest smile on your face, it's what I love to do.
Also, this past summer I was selected by the Director of the NOLA Urban Youth Academy to attend the first ever USA Softball BreakThrough Series event held in Houston , Texas. It was such an fun and exciting event that consisted of workout days, informational seminars and on-field play. It was a great learning experience and I also got to meet and talk with one of my all-time softball idols, Jennie Finch.
While in college I plan to concentrate my studies in the field of Criminal Law. I am also a lover of animals and would also have interest in that field along with Sports Management.
I am also an active member in my schools Catholic Athletes for Christ program where we participate in several community and school functions where we provide opportunities for faith formation, fellowship and worship.
My hobbies outside of softball center on spending quality time with my family and friends, shopping and going to the movies. I also like to get some extra sleep when I can.
I hope that you will consider me and my love, passion and dedication for the sport to be an energetic and dynamic member of your team.
Thank You
Chloe Cooper
