As a professional caregiver, either in nursing or in rehabilitation and prevention as an athletic trainer, my future will allow me to positively impact the lives of others in crisis. Having survived a near-fatal trauma at the hands of another, I fully understand how life can change in an instant. I know the inner strength it takes to force yourself to go one step more or to push just that much harder. To support and foster healing in those who are enduring what I lived through will provide not only deep personal satisfaction, but will allow others to benefit directly from my life experience and subsequent devoted work ethic. As part of my career, I will also continue to bring my message on prevention, safety and healing to the public.
