Riley Fasteau '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Riley Fasteau and I am a Catcher/Utility from Maryland. I know the game of softball inside and out and I love leading and keeping my teammates and myself motivated to be our best selves on and off the field. 

My dream is to play college softball, and this gives me motivation to continue to work harder and never stop improving. I am very versatile and love learning everything I can about positions I might not know much about. I feel as though I really embody the utility player mindset, as I have played every position in at least one game except for pitcher. I think this ability to play different positions and learn them quickly is a result of my high softball I.Q. and my adaptability. 

While I love being a utility player and learning about different aspects of our game, catching for sure has my heart. I have been catching since I was nine years old and have loved every second of learning everything from blocking and framing to pitch calling and perfecting my throwdowns.
