As the daughter of a major league baseball player (Arthur Rhodes), I have had a passion for softball since as long as I can remember. I began my softball career when I was only six years old, playing rec council softball for the Carroll Manor Royals. Our team started together as a little kids and ultimately we won the League Championship and the North-South Championship in our final year together. I played virtually every position, but mostly 1B, 3B, and OF. For the past three years at my high school, Oldfields School, I started on the Varsity team and played 3B but also catcher if needed. I consider myself a versatile player and I am willing to play any position. Also, for my sophomore and junior year, I was voted to be one of three captains on the team.
I am a leader and a team player. I was the Captain of the JV basketball team, selected to the IAAM All-Conference softball team during my freshman and junior year. And, I was awarded the Varsity Softball Coaches’ Award my freshman year. I love to encourage my teammates and help to make them better. I am fun-loving and social off the field, but on the field, I have a strong work ethic and I am very coachable.
